One Flutter codebase, both app stores, six weeks to launch

Pocketvest needed a polished investing app on iOS and Android without two native teams. One Flutter codebase shipped to both stores in six weeks and holds a 4.8 rating.

01 · The challenge

Pocketvest had a funded idea, a banking partner, and a deadline: be live in both app stores before their next investor update. Quotes from native shops started at five months and two separate codebases they could never afford to maintain.

Fintech raises the bar further. Biometric login, real-time price updates, and bank-grade security reviews are not optional extras, and app store review teams scrutinize financial apps hardest.

02 · The solution

We built the entire product in Flutter from a single codebase: onboarding with KYC, biometric authentication, portfolio dashboards with live charts, and push notifications for price alerts.

A CI pipeline shipped signed builds to both stores from day one, so review cycles started early instead of blocking launch. The crash reporting dashboard we set up still catches issues before users report them.

03 · How we did it

The approach

1

Design system first

A component library matching their brand, so every screen after the first week assembled quickly and consistently.

2

Riskiest features early

KYC flow, biometric auth, and the live price engine built first, because those decide whether the store reviews pass.

3

Ship to stores weekly

TestFlight and Play internal tracks from week two, with real builds in stakeholders' hands every Friday.

4

Harden and launch

Penetration testing, crash-free-rate targets, and staged rollout from 10% to 100% of users over one week.

One Flutter codebase, both stores, six weeks. The app holds a 4.8 rating and the crash dashboard they left us still catches things before users do.
